Temporary Coded Pipe Welder

Oil & Gas Systems is seeking to employ two experienced, time served Pipe Welders to join their production team in Gorseinon. The successful applicants will be required for a period of 6 months and thereafter on a month by month basis if an extension is requiredWe are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

We are preferably looking for candidates who live locally within a 25 mile radius of Swansea. For candidates living outside a 45 mile radius of the factory, a fuel allowance is available. Candidates living more than 50 miles from the factory accommodation and food allowance is available.

Minimum Candidate Requirements

As a minimum, candidates should have qualifications and previous experience of working within a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Preferred Candidate Requirements

  • Fully skilled in the field of Pipe Welding
  • Ability to work with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Duplex Stainless Steel
  • Experience of working with a variety of sizes and schedules from small bore – ½” NB to 24” NB
  • Ability to work to high tolerance quality specifications to meet Radiography requirements
  • Should have a track record of less than 3% failure rate
  • Proven experience and track record in TIG, MMA, MAG, FCAW and SAW welding
  • Should be able to work to schedules with the minimum supervision
  • Must have been previously coded to ASME/BS EN, there will be completion of   coding to meet company standards
  • Must be able to weld positionally
  • Commitment to working with Oil & Gas
  • A flexible approach to all duties and working hours to achieve completion of contracts outside of normal scope of work

Reporting to -  Workshop Supervisor

Salary - £15.10 per hour

Temporary Semi-Skilled Labourer

Oil and Gas Systems Ltd is seeking to employ a Semi-Skilled Labourer to work within our manufacturing facility. Candidates should flexible and self-motivated. You should have the ability to work to the high quality and safety standards set by our company.

The successful applicant will be required to start ASAP for a period of 3 months and thereafter on a month by month basis.

We are ideally looking for candidates who live locally within a 25 mile radius of Swansea.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a manufacturing/Engineering environment using hand tools, electrical tools, small and large band saws, pipe bevelling machines and drills.

Preferred Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the industry or within a similar environment is essential
  • Experience with flange assembly and mechanical fitting desirable
  • The candidate must be able to follow instructions in line with supervisor and/or tradesman’s requirements
  • Be self-motivated and organised
  • Have an understanding of Health & Safety
  • Carry out tasks efficiently and to a high standard
  • Assist manufacturing personnel in their daily tasks
  • Have experience of working with electrical hand tools and general fabrication machinery
  • Good time keeping and work ethic
  • Forklift experience would be advantageous

Purchasing / Projects Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing / Projects Assistant to join our buying team, located at our head office in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to provide support and assistance to Project teams and to the Buyer in administering efficient purchasing processes for our bespoke engineered packages.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Generating Purchase Orders using Sage 200
  • Expediting Sage Purchase Orders
  • Expediting Suppliers for Order Acknowledgements, Goods and Documentation
  • Liaising with Project Managers/Engineers
  • Responsible for ensuring expediting records are maintained and kept up to date.
  • Provide administrative assistance to colleagues within the project teams as and when required
  • Assist the Buyer with administration tasks relating to purchasing, including setting up document systems, maintaining records & spreadsheets, collating information for reports, arranging visits etc.
  • Going out for quotations and negotiations
  • Cover for Buyer during absence

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good numerate skills
  • Good IT abilities, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Sage Experience desirable (Sage 200/Sage 50 Accounting Package)
  • Self-motivated team player who can multitask and prioritise own workload

Accounts Assistant

We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant predominately within the purchase ledger to join our small finance team, located at our head office in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to support the day to day functions of the finance department and assist the Management Accountant on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Input PL invoices to Sage via Purchase Order System on Sage 200
  • Manage finance email accounts
  • Processing payment runs and uploading to bank
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Liason with Suppliers and our own Project Managers/Engineers to resolve issues
  • Production of Sales Invoices, with limited credit control
  • Bank Reconciliation cover
  • Quarterly Stocktake
  • Assist Management Accountant with basic month end tasks such as Debtor/Creditor reviews and Prepayments/Accruals.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role desirable.
